Hello
I have a 28 gallon JBJ nano with an LED fixture from reef radiance, an inline JBJ UV (turned on recently) and an aquamaxx HOB skimmer. I cycled tank with two false perp's I had in a little 2 gallon tank for about 2 years, so I had thought they must be pretty hearty. About 3 weeks ago, I noticed my yellow neon goby got ich. It was not bad, but lasted about 1 week or so. I fed my fish garlic extreme, selcon, they regularly eat the Thera + pellet food with garlic, and I was also soaking it in a mixture of a powder from marine depot for diseases mixed with garlic extreme.
The Neon goby's it started to go away but I noticed my clown scratched a little. No visual signs, but the scratching. Then later, I noticed he had developed a few small black dots on his body and around his gills. When I called around, and posted on this forum,, they did not think it was it due to the fact that it was 1) black, and 2) did not appear raised on the surface.
I do have both a golden torch frag and even more recently a neon green frammer frag. The general consensus was that it was a sting from the coral and not to worry about it.
PROBLEM
1) I noticed today that his spots have got worse.... Not bleeding worse or anything like that, there is just a lot more of them. I tried to take a few pics to include. Sorry the pic is not the best, done with my iPhone.
2) Can anyone tell from the description and pics if this is just a coral sting, or if it could be some disease or parasite?
3) Again, a false percula has developed small black spots over his body. I noticed the other clown has just a few himself.
4) If it is a coral sting, is it something I need to worry about, or will they just learn their lesson eventually?
