My blue spotted puffer has stopped eating. He was eating like crazy ever since I put him in my
Main tank a month ago. He is with a kole tang and clown. Just last night I noticed he didn’t approach the front of the tank like he always does when it’s dinner time. He stayed in the back and only ate maybe 2 pieces of mysis.the one piece it seemed like he tried to eat it and couldn’t. This morning I fed him and he ate nothing. He just stayed in the back. What could be the issue? I see no signs of disease on him. I know they have teeth that keep growing. I was feeding clam on half shell to help that but he Got sick of it and stopped eating it. Please help!! Anyone with experience with puffers!!

@Humblefish how are you with puffer fish? #reefsquad any puffer guys out there? :)

Got a picture? It's very possible that his teeth are over grown. If they are there are tons of youtube videos of people cutting their teeth. A good trick is to find the food that he really like and smash it up on a pice of rock rubble and freeze it, they put it in the tank and let him file down his champers on that. IT won't work now as they are probably too over grown at this point, but for future reference.

Yup, a picture would help. Any other symptoms to go with this? Flashing, scratching, hiding in dark places, heavy breathing? Anything else about his looks or behavior that is a little "off"?

Also, when was the last fish/coral/invert added to this tank?

I had a puffer die because I Ignored the signs of overgrown teeth. Try feeding hard shelled shrimp or small crabs to help file them down. Pictures would also help!
