Please help! Can’t figure this out

My tank has been up and running for about 1-1/2 years never had an algae or bacteria problem till now.. I installed a roller mat about 3 months ago and last months I noticed my nitrates were at 0. I tried feeding more to raise them up and then all of a sudden I had an outbreak. I thought it Cyano but after 2 treatments of Chemi-Clean nothing has changed. Do you guys think this is a bacterial problem or some kind of algae?

Research dinoflagellates; if you syphon some out and they rapidly reconstitute confirm with microscope. Significant evidence/experience that very low nitrates allow dinos to flourish. Good luck

Definitely Dino’s, been battling them for over a month now. Dose nitrates up (I would dose and not feed) check on phosphate too. I raised my nitrates to 10 and phosphates to .10

Have you tried to black out your tank?

Uv light kills off many species in my experience. I've had pretty good success following Dr. Tim's formula which is based on a blackout and addition of several types of bacteria. Best to get nitrate and phosphate within recommended range and syphon out as much as you can through filter sock and return water to tank before starting treatment I think. Also increase biodiversity. Good luck and be patient; dinos are always present - you just have to manage their population.

I put them under I microscope any idea if it’s Cyano or Dino’s ?

that's dino's from what I can see, if u have anything taking out phosphates id remove it (i.e. chemipure blue). Dinos thrive with 0 phos. this problem didn't happen overnight and it wont go away overnight. give it time without trying new things everyday. vaccuum out what u can and take it slow with 1 step at a time
