One of my clowns has developed a huge belly over the last day or two. T Does this clown look pregnant or sick? It seems to be staying in one spot and seems to be gasping which is never a good sign. It looks like there is a little dark gray dot on her anus. Other than that I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary.
If it's sick what would I treat this with?

I've had them for 6 month. They are around 2 inches in length. That's really all I know.

She does look extremely large. My clown does not look that big before she lays eggs, but she also has not laid a large amount of eggs.

Have they been cleaning off an area to lay?

Before laying eggs, you will be able to see the genital tubes on the male and female. This could be the grey spot you see.

You can see this on my clowns in the picture (female is the one closest to the camera)

How long did it take from whn you noticed the belly until it laid eggs?

ok im thinking it's bloat what could I treat her with?
She could be egg bound, or just bloated. If you fed her the pea, that is the first step and what I would have recommended. You'll want to watch to make sure she poops and what color it is. If it's white and stringy then we know she has intestinal worms and can treat for that. First lets wait and see if the pea helps flush out the bowels for her and make that belly shrink a bit.

Personally I think she's a little small/young to be laying eggs, but it's possible.
