can’t tell if I am battling diatoms or dynos. Nothing on the corals, mainly on the sand bed but it is on some rocks. There is no long snot but rather very short strands matting the sand. There is a couple spots on the rock that has tiny bubbles. Debating if I should black out the tank for 72 hours or if I should doze dyno X. Had my father in law look under a microscope and he sent me the attached drawing.
been digging deep for changes I have made in the past 30 days. 1 took a rock from my nano tank and put it in my display, and I took my refugium offline. I took my refugium offline because I went to rotate it and it all fell apart. And I noticed my phosphate had jumped super high. Have new clean chaeto coming tomorrow to put it back online
Tank is over 2 years old.
salinity 1.026
Alk 8.2
Calcium 430
Mag 1340
Nitrate 8
Phosphate .011
