Noticed my Clown had some white spots on her day before yesterday, yesterday morning they were all over her. She’s been eating and frolicking like normal so Before leaving for work I gave her a 5 min RO/di dip (she hated it but is fine). I looked up taking out all the fish from the tank and keeping the DT fishless for 70+ days. I’m not exactly sure what she may have but judging by pics on here that I’ve seen, It looks like it’s ich. I set up a 10gallon container yesterday with filtration and put in a sponge from my display tank to seed it along with dosing seachem stability, fed it an hour ago and will be home in about 10hrs. Couple questions, how long before I can bring my fish into the qt AND what meds should I dose to get my squad back to clean? This is my cheap qt setup. Black foam block in qt was transferred from DT. Thanks in advance for advice. 59076573-86E5-4447-B067-CEB07B952C94.jpeg 311648DA-90C8-4713-A312-8840EB2AB957.jpeg

For a single clown you should be good to go right away. Make sure you are monitoring ammonia.
FYI, I wouldn't use anything from the DT (like that sponge) as you are transferring whatever disease(s) you're trying to treat to your QT.

Eeeek.... it’s been in there for over 12 hrs already and 18+ by the time I’ll be home from work. I thought using the sponge to seed and during medical was ok as long as I don’t return it back to DT after the fallow period? I have multiple fish and dosed stability again this morning. Only fish I’ve noticed flashing have been the clown and the lawnmower and out of the 2 the clown has/had visible white dots.
Fish I have to pull are:
2- firefish gobies
1- clown
1- lawnmower blenny
1- yellow watchman goby.
All very small young fish.(each at about half their mature size)

How long should I wait before the temp qt is ready before I qt them? Or should it already be a go?

All fish are still in DT until I get QT/hospital in check. And as of this morning all was normal.

Like I said, I wouldn't use something from my DT. Others do just what you did. Just doesn't make sense to me to transfer over more of the stuff we are trying to fight off.

Looking at your setup, how many gallons of water is in there? It doesn't look like a lot for that many fish.
What are you using for filtration in there? All I see is some filter pads and a sponge. Do you have anything for water movement? Do you have an air pump? You'll want to make sure there is plenty of O2 during treatment. I'd also ditch that log (rock) thing you have in there and instead throw in some PVC pipe fittings that the fish can hide in.

It’s 10 gallons worth of water. I have a 950gph pump wrapped in filter media that is inside a plastic bin housing to keep the foam and pump contained from flopping around and the water outlet piped into the main part and it breaks surface tension. Lol, that hideous rock keeps the bin housing from floating and there are nooks where the gobies can hide in. I used the foam because I’ve read that’ll it’ll make the Qt fish ready faster, coupled with bacteria. I plan on treating and housing the fish here until fallow is over and a new foam will be placed in fallow tank. Trying to get the fish safe, quick, before the ich runs rampid. Should I wait before placing them in QT? Just afraid that waiting too long may be too late.
