Ok guys i know this isn't a fresh water forum but i know everyone on here is very experienced and probably has cared for this fish before.. I have a green spotted puffer fish who is still in fresh water because he is so small. Tonight i added in some new fresh water to dilute and refill his tank from evaporation. Every two weeks i do a 50% water change. he is the only fish in the 10 gallon tank i have him in. Tonight after i did that and put in his half shell clam i came over to look for him and noticed him curled up on the bottom of the tank and some of his white belly was black. I have no idea what this could be from does anyone know why they change to the color black and what would cause this to happen. ive done the same steps before and never had a problem. he also seemed to be breathing heavily.
