Ok I have been battling a few algae breeds for months and almost killed all cyano when I did a black out for 3 days. After that I was pretty much algae free for a week and a half other then some brownish fuzzy algae that didn't die in the black out now it's cleaning day and I've been letting the algae grow to see how bad it gets and it could be worse but very undesirable. I'll post pics but my real question is how to use hydrogen peroxide properly to rid my tank of algae? I have a 30g, 20lbs of live rock, 1 torch coral, 2 polyp, 2 clowns, 2 damsels, mandarin, 2 shrimp, emerald crab, 5 snails plus baby snails.

I think you'd be better off exporting more nutrients (nitrate and phosphate) than continually just killing the algae. It will just grow back if the nutrients are available. :)

What is the TDS of your top off water?

It looks like you have diatoms and other types of algae. Is your tank new? I'd suggest either taking a look at your water source or looking into your tank for something causing the nutrient problem.

What kind of cuc do you have? Your algae doesn't look too bad believe it or not. If you get a good cuc I am sure your glass would look better.

I have 5 snails, 2 hermits, one emerald crab, and 2 shrimp. Also a bunch of baby snails
