So I read a lot of post and understand some stuff but not all
So I got a 20 gallon long and sponge filters today but the water I'm putting in is new and that will mean this tank is not cycled
1 - how do I keep the ammonia under control with a un cycled tank
2- while all the fish are in the qt what kind of copper should I use and will this delay the cycle process
3- I have a scooter Benny a 2 clowns a powder blue tang and a anthias can they be treated with copper
4 - I have a medication called Prazipro will this help with ick also have copper power and can you use them together
Please help I'm not sure what to do

@melypr1985 & @Humblefish (calling the fish doctors for you)
In the meantime ... found these you can read through.

1. You will need to do water changes to keep ammonia under control (might want to pick up one of these https://www.amazon.com/Seachem-6710...&qid=1473756484&sr=1-1&keywords=ammonia+badge)

2 & 4. Treating Ich using copper https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/copper-treatment.193343/

3. I believe you will want to do this for you scooter blenny https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/tank-transfer-method.192655/

You may want to post a pic as velvet has been making the rounds and a pic will help to determine if you have ich or velvet.

^^ This. Confirming whether your fish have ich or velvet is an important first step in determining proper treatment.

You can use copper (I prefer Copper Power) on both fish. And I suggest buying a HOB - either an Aquaclear or Bio-wheel powerfilter - for filtration/ammonia break down in QT. You'll also need a "bacteria in a bottle" product (exs. Bio-Spira, Seachem Stability or Dr Tim's Nitrifying Bacteria) to seed it with.
