Please Help ID and treat

Hello- i recently acquired a female Bellus angel. I’ve has her in quarantine two weeks with 2ppm CopperPower. She has a sore on her right “cheek”, with a sort of “whisker” sticking out of it. I treated her with Furan 2 as well as Maracyn and Maracyn 2. Sore remains the same. She also had a small white dot on one of her fins which is now gone. She came from the fish store already in 2ppm copper solution so i don’t think she has significant risk of ich. I freshwater dipped her and also gave a ruby reef rally bath. She eats well and has a great personality. What is this sore and what more should i do about it? Thank you!

I’ve never heard of euronema in angels..but that’s kind of what it looks like. It common in chromis

With a sore like that, if this were Uronema wouldn’t she be dead by now?

That’s true I didn’t think about that. But with a larger organism like an angel fish it may take longer to kill. But IDK

That’s what I originally thought. Did two rounds of Furan-2 and 6 days of Maracyn and Maracyn-2. Today i transferred to a clean qt with no copper and started General Cure. What else should I do? Doesn’t seem to be healing.

The only other thing I can think of doing is give him a Methylene Blue Bath then some Seachem StressGuard to help clean and heal those open wounds.

Uronema is actually quite common in smaller angels. But I believe this to be a bacterial infection.

I’d source nitrofuracin green and administer in QT. If not, Kanaplex, metroplex, and furan 2 for 14 days should do the trick.

Yes all 3 used together following the MFG instructions for each medication. Follow the WC schedule for Furan-2 as well.

Hi- hoping to revisit this. I’ve been compliant with furan 2, metroplex and kanaplex. Lesión on her cheek seems to be growing. No longer red, just puffy grey/white, like cotton balls or broccoli. Whole base is raised. Could this be fungal? Cancer?
ive also tried general cure, Maracyn and Maracyn 2. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
