Hi

Thanks for others and some previous threads help, and I have ID two things in my tank :

Aiptasia & Spirobid worms.

Can you help ID the other 2-3 things in my tank ( ...... just found there are so much little creatures starting to appear in my tank )?

What's that dark brown thing growing like a small plant? And the dark transparent green egg shape thing but look very transparent? Any harm of these ?

green bubble algae :(

Thank you all. That's super helpful.

Am I doing something seriously wrong that so many things are growing ! I bought Corals from three sources, one well known local shop, and two reefers. I always dip them with coral dip and Bayer solution. And I have about 20 corals at this point.

nope ,stuff happens,20 corals!!! we want pics!!! and params if you feel like there is something wrong

None of those “pest” mean you’re doing something wrong.

1- aiptasia you can’t kill it with the dips so basically unless you notice it before putting it in the tank it’s bound to happen. Make sure you don’t irritate it or it’ll spew babies all over the tank and that’s bad news. You can kill it by squirting thick kalkwasser paste into its mouth if swallowed it’ll die within an hr.

2- Vermetid snails can come in all hard surfaces and sometimes are hard to see. They don’t grow on coral tissue so you likely got them in a rock, coral skeleton or clean up crew shell.

3- Bubble algae is common we all have it or had it at some point. Emerald crabs eat it if the problem is too big but if it’s one here and there don’t sweat it.

Thanks all again. When I posted this, I really thought I had only 3-4 those snails, and I just did one round of Glue the tip as I have some coral glues. I did about 10 and I stopped following suggestions. Will do it again tomorrow.

I have posted my corals except some that's in the back ( I have no idea why I put them there LOL ) .

They are all from frags and I missed taking a picture of the Jason fox Flame or flame fox....

I have some questions about the corals too, please help!

1) The blue zoanthids have been like that for 2 months? Not growing yet while the other Zoanthids grew a bit

2) some of the SPS corals are still browning , they have been in the tank for 2-3 weeks. Likely take more time?

3) the snails came from the first hammer coral. I am quite sure that it first appeared on this coral's structure. I just took it out today and cleaned 3 those snails on this coral

It's 10 months and 1 week. I started the soft corals and LPS earlier, around last Nov. The SPS are added much more recently less than 3 weeks.

nice selection there!!

nice selection there!!

Thanks! I really wanted to take it slower into the SPS world, but got these relatively fast. Couldn't resist...... Hope everything would get better soon. Tomorrow night, looks like I need to post for help separately , want to know if it's Dino, Diagtom or Cyano. Will start a new thread with picture tomorrow.....
