tank 2 moth old had the algae for like a moth now running phosphate media it's not getting better or worse

you are describing a very unrecognized but highly important detail in the hobby with that post, nice going. See how your tank doesn't have widespread issues, its just patchy growth mainly located on substrate but in other areas its nice and clean? That means a grazer set is missing, not a chem or nutrient problem at the wheel


that grazer can be you by hand, or animals, including more nutrient detailing but to further try and starve it is unnatural and leads to coral bleaching in the masses

What do you guys use to agitate the water? Hands (ammonia wash before)? Metal pole? Fish net?
 
Sand, I meant sand. Not difficult, but Brandon429 makes a good point.
