Please and thank you :)

Please hlep ID.jpg

Looks like a chalice to me. It could be Hollywood Stunner Chalice (LPS)

The color looks right for a hollywood stunner chalice but now you mentioned it's thin and brittle I'd say chalice , make sure you give it space they're agrresive.

Chalice or even a scroll coral. Pic a little fuzzy to tell what kind possibly Hollywood (most popular)

OK looked up hollywood stunner chalice pictures and that is what it is. Thank you for the all. Now my daughter can do a study up on it for science class :) now how to anchor it to a rock? right now its just laying there.
Just let it lay there, it will eventually grow and attach. Or you could superglue it down if you’ve got snails/hermits that could knock it down

Definitely glue it chalices can be pretty brittle seen shattered ones at my LFS , neat thing to can do if that happens glue them close together but not touching and they'll fuse quickly.

definitely a chalice coral i’d glue it too the rock work if flow hits it then it could go flying but that’s only if it’s kinda high flow but nice piece
