Hi all,
Here is a picture of hitchhiker. I read and looked at other people’s posts and it looks like a hydroid. I just want comfirmation. Let me know what you think. Here is a picture.

KJ is right on. I've seen some folks recommend to get rid of them because they can proliferate but I've had a basement tank up and running for 10+ years and I've always had a few and never had a problem with them.

I had a bunch and one day they all disappeared, they bothered anything and never got that big. I had a huge hydroid problem and I have no clue what happened but the Corynactis and hydroids just started to diminish and disappear. One day they were just gone, something I added must have eaten them. I think it was my angel fish

Thank you all!
I only have two of them. I noticed them this morning. I have been adding live pods and phytoplankton since last weekend. I guessed they decided to come out and eat.
I will leave them be. I like them, and there is not much going on in the tank right now.
Mc
