Definitely agree that it's a Scutus, possibly Scutus sinensis, but they are still only related to limpets in that they are both in the class Gastropoda. Limpets are classified taxonomically in a few different subclasses and orders so it isn't accurate to make generalized statements regarding other genera being related to them.
