Hi,

I have been studying my aquarium and found som smal slugg like critters on mye glass one day.
I have now made a little video under a microscope and it dosen look like flatworms but i would like to know the ID of it.. anybody know?

I have tested 3 dips on them and nothing seem to botter them mutch.. i have tested Seachem Coral dip, Coral RX and flatworm exit. The critters were in the mix for 1 houer and they didnt show any sine of distress and lived happely.

The photo and the video is in 4X zoom on the microscope and you barly can see them With the naked eye.

That looks like a FW not sure if it is the AEFW.
What kind of corals do you have in the tank?
Try Bayer for dip, much more effective and cheaper.

I have around 9 encrusting montiporas, 3 different plating montipora.. 10-15 different acropora.. 3-4 millipora a smal frag of hysterix and som randoms that i dont remember the name of.
Non of the acropora have bite marks i have inspected everyone and it dosent seem to stay on the Corals either. I have to pick them of the glass for some reason and when i dip the Corals i maby get 1 or 2 but on the glass there is about 20 of them at any given time.

I know about the bayer Advanced and would love to get some but i live in Europe and i dont know where i can get it here.. :/ Guess its a US brand or something.. :)

thx for Your replay :)

The tank i Young tho its just 8months so most of them are Frags..

here is a bad video of the tank done With iphone (blue video....)

If you don't see bite marks doesn't mean you don't have the AEFW but lets assume you don't due to you description I'm almost positive you have planaria FW.
They hang out on the glass a lot.
Read up this article from my friend Marc, http://melevsreef.com/critters/red-planaria-flatworms

Where in Europe, which country?
You can Google Bayer and see what all it is made of and you can get something similar, Bayer is a German brand but has some Chemical plants in Holland too as I know.

Well they move fast thow and they dont look like the once in the photos that Melv has on his site that`s why i dont realy think that its them. There are non of them on the sand bed that i can see..
i have only seen a few in the shaded parts on the back wall of my tank. you can see them move on this video..

I live in Norway btw :)

I found a tread where they have the same type that i have (or look similar)

Would a mystery wrass be a good adition to keeping them Down? or should i just get the six line wrass? I love the look of the Mystery Wrass tho... :)

Its more or less imposible to get a good photo of them in the tank nither my phone or my Samsung camera can focus on them. I can see straight thru them in the tank.

I have just tryed to test dose in a cup to see if it had any effect on the flatworms.

I did the following:

Glass with 40ml tank water.
2dropps of salifert flatworm exit (exp.date 2018)

Put 2 copepods in the glass
Put 2 of the flatworms in.

Result after 1 houer:

Copepods died instantly

Flatworms still living and going arround.. ill let the glass sit over night to see if the bugger still lives..
