It’s attached to a rock via a plug when I purchased the rock and was wondering what it is and if it still might be alive

+3 on closed up zoa. Light is very bright for them and in general

yes looks alive and well. in a couple of weeks it should be completely opened. zoas like a wide range of light depending on the type. but low to medium light should be fine.
