Hi I have this white furry stuff growing in my sum. It is everywhere on the rack, rock and glass. It appear in the main display as well but not as well. Please help ID this and way to get rid of it. Thanks so much in advance.
Dont believe algae but rather a colony of tube worms , detritus and cryptic sponge which is thin and very typical to form in sump as all mentioned favor low light. A remedy would be sponge cleaning with a magic eraser ORIGINAL, not scented and also cerith snails or copepods will feast on this stuff
increasing flow in sump will help reduce chance of future appearance of these
