Looks like hair Algae but not sure. It's the white fuzzy stuff on my rocks. Every few days I have to brush the rocks. How can I get rid of it? Any help would be appreciated

I have the same thing as well. I. Thinking its just kinda part of the new tank syndrome. I don't recall having it my other tank when I set it up though. How old is yours now? Mine has been up for about 2 months now.

I think it's also new tank syn, but it may also help to routinely blow the surface of the rocks off with a baster. I notice in low flow areas detritus, left over food, and sand can build up and cause Algae/bacteria to grow.

Tried looking for a name on several threads, but could not find and name for the un-named algae. I used NoPoX a form carbon dosing. As in the thread/name search my tank was about 4 months old when the gray algae appeared.
Have you measured your tank Parameters, more importantly nitrates, and phosphates?

I've got this growing with zero phosphates, assuming my nitrates are higher but the API kit I have is worthless.
