Hello fellow reefers!

Since last two weeks, whenever i change my filter socks this little creature is always there on one of the socks.

Any idea what it is?

TIA

Looks like a beetle, not of aquatic nature.

well i found two of them, kept them out of water for about 5 minutes and it started to feel weak almost about to die. i then put one in fresh and the other in aquarium water and both seem comfortable.

We’re they not out of water when you found them? Does the beetle submerge itself in the water or float on surface? 5 minutes out of water isn’t long. It may be weak because it ate too much filter sock debris.

It’s not from your tank it’s a regular beatle that was likly attracted to your tank for some reason and got into your sock
