Found this creature, while braking up a rock with some Zoas. Wanted to get an ID before placing it in tank.
Thanks in advance!

That’s a shellfish/mussel species that lives inside the rock, I had one in the past that I found as I broke a piece of rock to investigate what was it that kept sneaking out. Unfortunately I forgot what they are called. Sorry

Am always for biodiversity in my case I would keep most things, unless I suspect they could overtake/dominate my closed system. But you could see what other members would suggest before you made your mind.

Thanks for the advice. I will float it for the rest of the day until I get more suggestions.

+1 on peanut worm
Wrasses will eat them. It can extend out several inches as it seeks food late at night. Once it detects any light at all, it will quickly retract within itself like laundered socks turned inside out until it is deep within its protective nook. You can tells where it hides as it leaves a hole it bored out which will be perfectly round in the sand bed
They are harmless
