I just noticed the purple “thing” waving on my coral. Any help identifying is appreciated.

Thanks. It’s in a Biocube 32. I just added a UV filter, protein skimmer and now using RODI water in my water changes.
Yep, just noticed it is attached to the skeleton, not the coral itself.
 
Assure nitrate and Phos has not become elevated and you can reduce white intensity slightly as Cyano is photosynthetic and relies on light for reproduction. This little bit can be siphoned with 3/8" tubing

Thanks for the advice. I will check levels when I get home and adjust lighting
