I have these little guys in my refugium. Along with a healthy copepod population. I’m wondering if this is some weird stage of copepod or flat worm babies?

Please help. Thank you.

Ok thank you for your help. I’m guessing flat worm exit is the best option here.
That part I am unfamiliar with, I've never had to battle flatworms before, but perhaps someone from #reefsquad has more knowledge on the subject.

I've seen threads where people have tried Prazi for flatworms, I don't have any first hand experience though. Could also try a wrasse to eat them...they could at least keep the FW popluation under control in your display.

FWE scares me based on reading other peoples experiences.

I see. I appreciate the advice. I’ve also seen some tank crashes online with FWE by they are breeding pretty fast so we’ll see.

Harmless. Like pods they will bloom and fade.

In large numbers they can smother coral. Bout it.

Keep the population down by swishing the chato in the old tank water after a water change.

Most likely something in the DT will or is eating them.

Oh wow, @saltyfilmfolks , I just treated twice last week with Flatworm Exit, wondering why all the visible worms in the DT were not reacting.
It seems only bloodworms & bristleworms were affected, at least one worm looked like a Nemertea.

Too bad lionfishlair hasn't finished.

Turns out, the critters I was worried about are:

Isopod - Serolid

(Sand Skater)

Suitability: Score!
Diet: Algae Grazer.

Lol. Yea , I do miss Renee.

It is a funny knee jerk reaction to the appearance of of bugs. Quite normal.

Renee and I had plenty of fun asking members to poke touch and smell hithikers. Lol.

My skeeters actually Mostly disappeared. (I have a fat Mandarin. Hmm).

Edit. I have stuff that would make most folks faint.

Interesting

How long did you wait in between treatments?

Thanks for the info and link! Good call. I’m going to fully clean my refugium today.
No sweat. I honest wouldn’t go overboard. Just watch the bloom cycle. Maybe add a competitor. Pods for example and snails.

I did a dose Day 1, Day 2 a big WC, Day 3 a dose, Day 4 a smaller WC. Using the Salifert Flatworm eXit product.
The good news is that nothing died.

That’s definitely good news nothing died!

Thanks for sharing your experience. It helps.

Did you have any mini brittles when you dosed? I had them in two tanks that I dosed with FWE, and all the mini brittles came out of the rocks and formed a massive writhing ball of death. Just curious if that was the FWE or the toxins' those red jerks release when they die. I don't blame FWE at all - they got rid of my issue with tactical treatments. I miss the mini brittles though :(.

I have these too. Renee told me to leave them be. They're not the toxic variety and they don't smother. I only see them on my glass. They're photosynthetic I think she told me. They're cyclical. They multiply and then die back.
