Please help identify tang

I recently rescued some fish from a 220gallon tear down. I’ve identified everything else, but I’m not sure what type of tang this is. Can anyone help?

Looks like maybe a bristletooth tang.

Hard to tell but possibly a Ctenochaetus binotatus.

Ctenochaetus genus, for sure. I don't see the two spots for binotatus.

When it get settled in and heals up a bit, I'd like to see a clear pic from the side.

Feed, feed and feed. Have Nori for him 24/7 and hope his deformities are not permanent.

It's so stressed I'm not really seeing any defining patterns or coloration, but my guess is Ctenochaetus cyanocheilus.

You got to wait until it is healthier to definitively ID him. Bristletooth tang that is not a white tail is all I can say.

Based on his condition/stress, i would separate him from those 2 damsels. Hoping for a quick/strong recovery.

Generally, even an unhealthy bristletooth is somewhat easy to ID.
Definitely isn’t one of these;
C. tominiensis
C. trunctatus
C. strigosus
C. flavicauda
C. marginatus
C. hawaiiensis
C. striatus

You can begin to eliminate the obvious ones from the eye colour, the eye on that specimen is a blue so it limits down to;
C. cyanocheilus
C. binotatus

I would agree but the tail colour and eye colour in Binotatus can be the same. The differentiator between these however comes with the lips (once mature on a cyanocheilus) or the twin spots (almost always present on a binotatus).

Not sure if it can be identified yet, but I figured I’d update everyone on the recovery. The tang is showing signs of improvement. Eating lots of Nori and hikari seaweed extreme. The blue around its eye, the spots on its face, and the yellow hues in its fins are all becoming more apparent. The horizontal stripes on its body appear to come and go. The fish is also becoming more active. I’ll be moving it to its own 29 gallon quarantine tank today. I realize this isn’t ideal, it will only be a temporary home while I nurse it back to health. I’ve attached a video from this morning.

At the 5 second mark, I see the two spots by the caudal fin. Ctenochaetus binotatus.
