Please help identify this snail

I have seen this little bugger around my tank before. It started out very small and it's shell was completely white. It was hanging around the encrusting edge of my tooth coral for a couple weeks but it didn't appear to be on the encrusting tissue and skeleton. Just on the old skeleton from where the colony was broken apart. I removed from that area and hadn't seen it for a few months.
Today i found it on an acro frag which was starting to slime.
Please let me know if it's some sort of parasitic pyramid snail or some valuable member of my CUC. I hate to kill things if no need for it.
