Looks like a lesion…he’s already in qt just now sure how to treat or what with.

Can you get a sharper image using white light?

Does the lesion appear on both sides?

How long have you had the fish, when did the lesion appear, and what other fish have shared a tank with this one?

Could be an injury, or uronema (hopefully not). The better picture and more info may help narrow the diagnosis.

I have the fish about three months…not on the other side, it’s only that area. I have scoops, tomini, dottyback, 2 blennies, another goby and 2 wrasses.
I appreciate your help.

It looks like an injury of sorts - possibly from when you moved it to QT - I would watch for worsening - and then if it reddens or is spreading - I would use the antibiotics (one of them) as recommended previously. Additionally - any other fish affected with anything - or symptoms in the fish itself?

Fortunately, the injury does not look as bad under white light as what I feared from the first photo. I agree with @MnFish1 , just observe for another day or so and if it worsens be prepared to treat. Either of those meds is good to keep on hand in case of an emergency.

Btw, they are all in qt from ich breakout…been off copper now for a bout 8 days
Just checking - not related to the skin issue, but what copper product are you using, and what is the dose?

Cupramine…can’t remember exact dose, I have it written down at home and will check…I know it was at therapeutic level I think 2.0 ppm, but will verify later.

Ok, Cupramine should be dosed at 0.45 to 0.60 ppm. It is a little harsher than coppersafe, but still works pretty well.
