I don't think I'm looking at what everyone else is looking at. The only thing on that rock that looks like living coral to me is not what is glowing. I understand that coralline algae doesn't glow when healthy, but if i remember correctly, as it dies it will glow under actinics during a period of it's death. It's been a good while since I have seen coralline algae die off so I may be remembering wrong, but that sure doesn't look like living coral to me and in my opinion, I can't see how anyone can really identify anything from those pics.
Now I do see something that looks like an anthillia or xenia or some soft coral on the right side of the picture, but I don't think that's what people are talking about.
Same as sps. High lighting, good random current. Calcium, alkalinity, and magnesium all have to be in a good range and stable. Low nitrates and phosphates.
I have a 110 tall I am using 4 power compacts 65w and that and my xenia are within 4-6 inches from the top should that be ok? The current I have varrying current with 3 power heads and the return pump roughy generating 30 times flow . My water parameters are all in those limits
