I'm not sure which forum these belong under. They are a gorgeous purple with green centers. The reef store sold them as "some type of palythoa" although they just have a bit different tenticle pattern so I'm not sure! Help would be appreciated!!!! Please ignore poor pic quality.

BTW one pic I spot fed them and boy did they eat! Reminded my of my fat headed dendros or my RBTAS

The frogspawn wasn't in question sorry. And they are 100000000% not Duncan's. I have Duncan's and honestly they look nothing alike, not even the same tentacle pattern and these are much smaller and not connected at all as duncanops are.

Sorry no ID, but those look really really cool

Thank you I thought so too! Different then anything I've seen with the 2 rows of tendrils. One row points up the other hugs the surface of the rock.

Probably not, my boyfriend is a zoa collector and I'm pretty up on named zoas (for the most part). :/ He's got oompa loompas in his tank and they're nothing like that. Never seen any zoa with the double tenacles like that. Are you sure it doesn't have a skeleton?

OH nevermind boyfriend says they do have double tenacles just can't really see them except when they're kind of open.

Is the skirt pink or orange in person? And does it look like a normal zoa when it's fully open?

The skirt is pinkish purple, it does look like a zoa with 2 sets of tendrils!

Huh... that's so bizarre. Never seen anything like that but sounds awesome. My only concern is that I think it COULD be an anemone as it kinda looks like a cross between b/t aptaisia/strawberry anemone and a zoa.

I was thinking the same thing, it COULD be an anem. It eats a lot like my RBTA's too, and anems in my tank are incredibly successful for reasons unbenounced to me lol as they split non stop! I have never seen anything like these either though, they are absolutely the coolest little things ever though the way they do look like a pally with 2 sets of tentacles, like tiny multi colored Duncan's or something!? With a soft structure and only 3 of the 8 having a connected skeleton.

We need more images there is just no way around it. lol, plus I really want a better look at them. If you could turn down the blue a little it would really helps. Thank you. :)

I will as soon as I get home. Doing the best I can w/ the phone I have lol! I'll turn the blue off while I take the pics. Expect more uploads around 5:30-6:00EST!

Awesome :) Can't wait to see more. I love all the wierd/unique stuff this hobby introduces us to. It just goes to show how much is going on in our oceans.

With and w\o blues
