This thick white/purple mat is taking over this rock. I simply can’t find a picture online to help identify what it is. It is dense and cannot be “blown with a turkey baster” which is a characteristic of most cyano. It isn’t calcified which rules out coralline. It has some sponge like qualities but I have no idea.
I would just pull the rock if it wasn’t so dang hard to remove and reattach my mushrooms.
