Please help! Is this a fungus?

i can’t tell what this is I noticed it last night, if it is a fungus how can I treat it in the display tank? I showed a few angles so you can see that it’s a raised white protrusion near his tail fin

Looks like a possible injury, could be a secondary bacterial infection or lead to it.

Fungal infections are pretty rare in marine fish.

You could observe a day or two and see if it’s getting worse. The only option for in tank treatment is if your fish will accept medicated food. You’d need a binder like focus and mix it with metro or api general cure.

I’ve had 2 fish die of cottonmouth so that’s why I though it was.. right now I’m feeding him hex shield pellets but what’s all this I hear about garlic?

If really cant QT Could try methylene blue as bath, For treatment.

Has worked in a pinch for me with Columnaris infections in fw.
