Hello everyone,
So my new tank has been up and running for over three months now and things are on a slow decline.
so before the tank swap my sps colors were bright and vibrant.
my polyps were also more colorful and much larger then they are now.
Now the SPS are pale and dull not quite bleached but they lack luster and are very dull. my polyp extension is still there but the colors are very drab.
My polyps are very pale also and are super small in comparison to what they were in the old tank.

here is a little info on the tank:
80 gall shallow 48x24x16
6 bulb ATI light fixture
2 reef bright led strips 1 xho 1 regular
mp40
mp10
reef octpous xp 2000 skimmer
return pump mag 7
brs phosban/carbon reactor

parameters
alk normally 8.5-9 dkh
cal 450
mag 1400
salt 1.025
nitrates and nitrites are 0
phosphates 0
temp 78-80 mostly 79
ph swings from 7.80-8.2 from night today but the swing was larger in old tank and i never had this issue.

Lighting schedule
normal reef bright 2pm-12am 10 hours
xho reef bright 3pm-11pm 8 hours
first 4 bulbs of ATI actinic 4pm-10pm 6 hours
next two bulbs of ATI white 5pm-7pm 2 hours
the fixture hangs 12 inches off the water line.

I only have 5 fish and have considered that that the water might be to clean, but I dose fuel and feed reef chili to try to make up for the lack of fish.
I 'm thinking I might have to much lighting as crazy as that sounds because my parameters are in healthy range.
what do you guys think of my lighting schedule ?
I'm at a loss and really need some help so if any of you with great sps tanks who run similar lighting and set up's
Please give me some advise to get my tank back to being colorful.

thanks

Do you have a dimmer on the leds? It may be that they are bit bright for the photo period your using.

If it was me I would run the 4 actinics at 10 hrs.
The 2 whites for 8 hrs.
The normal reef bright for 6 hrs.
The XHO reef bright for 4 hrs.

It may be that your corals are just getting blasted by the LEDs.

Thanks for the response I will cut back how long the leds stay on for.
What do u think about the height of the light fixture over the water ?

I run my t5s at about 6 1/2" of the top of the water, but if your having problems with too much I would leave them be.

Yea I've read most people keep them lower .
I might try not using the reef brights for a while and eventually slowly lower the fixture

Just changed the lighting schedule how u recommended.
Will keep u posted in a couple of weeks .
4 bulb ati for 10 hours
2 bulb ati for 8 hours
Reef bright led 6 hours
Reef bright xho led 4 hours.
[emoji120][emoji120][emoji120] hope it helps thanks again.

So I changed it up again hopefully for the last time.
tell me what u think
led 12-1 pm
2 bulb ati 1-11
4 bulb ati 2-10
Led xho 11pm-12 am
12 hours total but only 2 hours of leds as sunrise sunset
