Please help me ID this crab

found this in my fuge, I think it’s been feeding on my chaeto.. I’ve been told it looks like an emerald crab but it really doesn’t look much like the one I bought for my display tank... is it good or bad? I’m gonna take it out of my fuge since it’s been eating my chaeto

Can you get a but more light on it? It does kinda look like an emerald crab

I . . . don't think that's an emerald.

Emeralds would have little "scoops" at the tips of their pincers, which are almost exactly the same color as the rest of the crab.

This guy's darker tips whisper to me that he's something in the xanthid family. He'll take what he can get, but probably significantly more carnivorous than the emerald, by preference.
