Hi all and happy holidays!!! This polyp is the lone survivor from the previous owner of my tank. The rock it is on was in a bucket of sand for oh probably a month or two... it started peeking about four months ago and has grown a lot and got a very nice deep green color and the little tentacles have grown a lot. I keep expecting it to bud more of them but it has not. It’s kind of pretty and I like it just wondering what it is. Thanks..

Vetteguy- I checked those out and it’s only got one row of tentacles on the edge of the disk... so I don’t think it’s an anemone... but thanks !!

So im going to back pedal a little here.. it does have two row of tentacles but it does look like a paly.... I might just need to watch it grow more... it’s gotten a LOT larger in the last month or so...

Notice the picture of palythoa above .
there is a line from the middle of the disk to the outer edge .

zoanthids do not have that line .
neither do anemones

Thanks ... Yeah I need to take a better picture of it fully open.. there are lines from the center to the edge...
