My poor green bird wrasse has been through so much and somehow still alive. My trigger tried to eat him twice so he is now a permanent resident of my QT tank. He ended up loosing an eye due to the attack and since then has had some kind of growth form on the top of his mouth. It looks like cauliflower but is green like the rest of his body. He acts normal and eats but that can't be comfortable for him. I need help identifying what it is and how I can get rid of it. Is it scar tissue maybe from the attack? It's now been on him for 6 months.

It is just an aspect of an aging bird wrasse in captivity. It doesnt affect all specimens, but I have seen it a couple of times. The fish continued to behave normally and lived with the growth for quite some time. Usually if a growth is the same color of the fish I wouldnt worry too much.
