Please help me identify new saltwater species

so I recently bought a new saltwater fish tank and in the middle of transferring everything I found a shell with a long syphon tube coming out. At first I thought my nassarious snail had a baby, but there is no body when the syphon comes out. Here are some photos to help identify.

None! I wish I knew, but I keep thinking maybe it’s some type of whelk or sea worm that developed from my live rock. He also buried himself in the sand sometime during the night.

Maybe a peanut worm took up residence in an empty snail shell...?

Possible that @Jose Mayo will be able to offer some insight here - he seems to know gastropods quite well! I'd not be surprised to find this fellow somewhat predatory, though.

Shell looks like a wentletrap.
Finding lots of pictures of them on corals.

The shape of the shell resembles the Nassarius pauperus, but the animal inside it may not be ... it would be interesting to remove it and photograph it on a dark background, on a plate with some water, for better identification.
