Please help me identify this white mass

I can not seem to find anything that looks like this. It is on the back glass and multipling. I could really use some help! Unsure wether it is good or bad?

It looks like some kind of sponge.

Thank you. Do they multiply alot? There are about 50 small patches of it on the back glass as well.

They’re a sponge of some sort. I have hundreds on my back glass behind the rock work

I like sponges. I would personally leave them. Most are harmless.

Poriferan sponge and this type will grow rather than spread. I generally scrape off and remove but some desire sponge in the tank
