Saw this guy in a $14.99 frag tank at the LFS. I know it's a PE but I'm struggling to figure out what type. Snapped the pic in their tank. I'll get some filtered pics when they open at home.

After replies and PMs I've narrowed it down to 3. I'm leaning towards the "red devil PE. We will see what their colors/patterns do. Thanks all

Updated pics. Hoping this helps give a true ID. Or are the 3 hooves just morphs or same zoa?

They certainly look verrrrrrry close to the Red Devil PEs you posted.

People eaters will morph w either more or less speckles on them but the majority are red people eaters. The other pic posted of red people eaters are the normal hawaiian ding dangs. Whether they are called blue agave, white zombie--just diff morphs of ppe.

Thanks for the info. So what would you call mine than? I know they are all morphs but that's what the names are for right? Or are you saying they are just ding dangs?

these are the ones I have that I call red people eaters.

Ding dangs are more like the pic u have of the galaxy pe u have. Im from hawaii, so i see these around alot but they dont do well in tank unless they are aquacultured.

These are off that colony. I fragged it day after I got it and they seem to be coloring up well. I have no background on the colony I bought because it came from a LFS , but judging by the growth on the plug and not a cut rock glued to a plug in leaning towards aquacultured.

That's my green galaxy I got from a well known seller. I would be happy if they ended up like that. We shall see.

Just be careful w the lighting. Go low and then expose it to more light slowly because ive seen alot of hawaii pe color up quick then go real bright before bleaching. I hope it works out for you but just in case make sure ur ph is stable and ur kh is high. Good luck on em, let me know how it goes.

Hey i just got a new zoa and rhinking of getting another but i dont know the value cause the names given are so confusing. U ever seen these, i got them from aqua sd and they call pic #1 nuclear meltdown and #2 red lunars. I want to know what most ppl call these tho lol.
