Cycling another tank. What ammonia reading do you think this is?

Zero, get yourself some ammonium chloride ramp it up to 2ppm, then watch it fall back to zero to be sure your tank is cycled. Have you registered an ammonia reading previously?

Oh yeah... I definitely have had a rise and fall of ammonia over that last 16 days.

I thought it was zero myself, but sometimes it is difficult to tell. A second opinion never hurts.
