Please help me quiet my overflow so I can sleep again!

Is there anyway I could just reinforce this one? Or just watch it's durability? It'd be a huge pain to build anything like this in our tiny apartment and I'm likely only going to have this tank for a year or two.

You probably could reinforce it. How, and how effective it would be, I do not know.

im pretty sure you can use a specialised tank stand (petco has one for under $100 dollars) or just use a sturdy dresser

Lots of great suggestions. My 2 cents is add instead of a straight drop into the sump, use a flexible tube and create some angles. That with the elbow at the top of the overflow along with adjusting the flow will help a lot.
