I half to get this basslet out of my reef. It is a fish from hell and it hates wrasses. I tried a trap for a week with no luck. So I have to take the reef apart to catch him. How should I do that to cause the
Least amount of stress to the fish and corals.

A hook and line works well. Bait it with a small chunk of shrimp, and cut the barb off the hook.

What species of Basslet?

I would try and section him off the best you can. Either plexiglass or something in that nature so you trap him in a corner. Then pull rock if needed then try and net him. I would also plan to do a water change at the same time to make it a little easier.

Fish have a hard time seeing red light. Turn off all of the lights in the room and tank except for the red light. You might have a better shot at netting him then. Bonus if you can do a water change, move rock, and section off part of the tank to reduce his maneuverability.

Use the trap. Feed sparingly or not at all until the fish are seriously hungry.
When Hunger vs fear is present Hunger will normally win out.
Yes you can go fishing but you run the risk of hooking other fish you have.

What type of Basslet?
