Hello

I have a new tank and new sump. Nothing is st up yet but I want to reconfigure the sump.

This is what it is configured like now.

I need to add 2 baffles like pictured below.

I need to move baffles over to give me the measurements I want like pictures below.

How do I do this?
How can I silicone the baffles neatly? Especially in the tight space between the long and short pieces of glass?

These questions may sound stupid to someone who knows how to do it neatly but I don't know.

Help please?

tough to say if its even possible to do it cleanly as removing baffles can be a PITA. out of curiosity, I can see (and understand) why you're trying to enlarge your ato chamber but why so many bubble traps? one right before the return is generally enough to do the job.
maybe not the option you want to exercise but about 2 years ago I wanted to add a refugium to my sump and instead of moving things around I just went ahead and designed a custom sump to have built to my spec's and sold my previous sump for $100 less than the new one costed me.

I would recommend having more space between the baffles so you have the ability to do mainence cleaning. In tight spaces I have gone to the local pharmacy....purchased some syringes (without a needle), pull the plunger out and fill the syringe with silicone and then replace the plunger.... now you have a small applicator to apply silicone one with. Also, you can apply some painters tape an 1/8” or 3/16” from the seam, apply your silicone, smooth with your finger and then remove the tape for a clean edge.

I did not think that the 1 bubble trap the sump has would be enough to ensure no microbubbles make it to the display.
My thinking was 1 trap to stop bubbles from the drain, 1 trap to stop bubbles from the skimmer and 1 trap before the return to stop any bubbles that might have made it past the previous traps.

Do you think the one existing bubble trap is sufficient?

If I ditch just one of the traps, which one should I ditch?

you really only need the baffles directly In front of the return chamber. I've had bubble traps with both 2 pane and 3 pane orientations and found very little (if any) difference between them, both work fine IME.
