Since adding a refugium it’s made my phosphates go very high I’m afraid of losing all my coral

Im not sure Chaeto causes the phos to go up, what have you added to your tank recently and what is the size?

Haven’t added anything just small refugium and now my corals aren’t doing so well

How long have you had the refugium?

What light are you using for the chaeto?

I’m using a cheap grow light that I found on amazon. I’ve been using this with a small HOB refugium and the chaeto was growing but I just added a bigger refugium this one that i have now and it seems like it’s dying because I see some small white pieces

cheato likes iron, po4, nitrates and light. So you are most likely deficient in one or more.

I run the light from 7am to 11pm every day

Could it be lack of iron? I am running a poly filter too. I was thinking that could be stripping the iron

I would run it reverse of the main display light schedule. This helps with keeping pH more stable.

Nate, what's your water parameters. It's mostly likely a water issue we are dealing with here.

Phosphates are high at 0.48
Alk is 10
Calcium 420
Salinity is 1.026

meh, thst isn’t really going to help, pretty sure it’s been proven the effects of reverse schedule fuge light is negligible. But won’t hurt or improve what’s happening now.
