Please help my zoas

I have zoas that have been growing up one of my live rock branch piece. They have been doing great for so long until about a week ago. They started to close up day by day. They are over 100 that were growing and thriving . They army favorite in my tank. Please help me get them back open?

I've heard that zoas will close for a week or two and "clean" themselves. I'm not sure if this is what is going on with yours just thought I would share the info.

We need more info buddy zoas can close for many reason. Tell us ur tank spec, equipment, parameters livestock.
Also if u see anything unusual on their polyps.

I'm sorry to hear your corals aren't opening. I know how painful that can be, especially when they have been doing so well and then all of the sudden close. Have you changed anything recently? Zoas don't like too much light or alkalinity spikes. Have you tried giving them a quick dip in coral rx, revive, or dilute iodine? Sometimes surface infections can be helped by dipping?

+1. Have you added any livestock or changed anything lately. I recently moved my vortech up about a half inch and it peved off my colony of ding dang people eaters enough to close them up until I moved it back. If you added livestock (corals) lately, check for pests. If your water parameters are stable, check to see if the polyps are still puffy (while closed) or if they're getting smaller. If they're still puffy, they should recover. Also, is there any algae in the colony. That can cause polyps to close.

I have a little algae growing in the middle of a paly frag of about 12 polyps. How can I get rid of that short of scrubbing the polyps with a toothbrush.
