So I recently (yesterday) released a scissortail dartfish into my 55G and all its done is hide in a cave and lie down, I used to keep tropical and that’s the worst thing they could do so I was sort of hoping for advice or good news as I’m not very experienced with marine...?

The water parameters seem to be fine as well

If its just added to the tank give it a couple of days to adjust to its new environment. Its scared and is in a new world hiding is instinct

Typical of dartfish and gobies such as firefish.
Should show presence at feeding and if you were not told- Notorious jumpers so have a lid of some sort available.

No - pretty hardy. Brine shrimp soaked in garlic is enticing food for them. Sm meaty foods also (LRS fish frenzy)
