Please help!!! New tank build possibly!!!

Tank looks pretty sweet ! That's a lot & fish & corals ! Do You have room for it all in your tanks for all the live stock? Give You time to setup properly.

1. Drain the tank - use this same water to transport livestock
2. Catch Fish/Eel and put them in 2-3 separate home depot buckets with heater n bubbler
3. Get a trough for all your corals
4. take sand/rock out

Once you secure the livestock the dry goods are easy. Just have a plan as to how long are these fish going to stay in the bucket? Are you going to clean/wash the sump, the tank all these equipment? Also, IMHO that's too many fish for that size tank. This would be a good time to sell some fish. Depending on how the last person took care of the tank, I'd wash everything including sand if possible. As long as the fish in the container are okay. Once they are at your place, you can use the trough to keep most of you fish alive.

Moving is stressful. I wish you all the luck.

I'm going to assume this is a fairly close transfer....within half an hour or so from your house.

Start making new RO/DI now and mix up fresh salt batches.....never can have enough. If need be, pick up Brute trash cans to hold this new water.

You'll need people, buckets, new saltwater, and most likely other things that aren't coming to mind. The more people, the better. If a member of a local club, let them know....if not a member, join one NOW. Use their knowledge.

I would move the current rock/coral to buckets (or even larger containers) with the current tank water. Then the fish...same thing...buckets or whatever.

Get rid of the sand....unless you wish to spend time and water to completely rinse and clean the sand.

Knock down the empty tank taking note how the plumbing is set up.....hopefully with unions so that the breakdown is easy.

Load stuff in trucks/SUV's/whatever....and if need be a rented van or small truck. It's going to be a bunch of stuff....more than you can believe.

Drive to new location....set up stand...level...set tank/sump...connect plumbing, and start placing rock....add water as needed. Note, corals can be out of water for a good hour or so.

This is going to be a long day, so start early.

Now, all that said, the other approach which is not that hectic would be to pick up a stock tank with saltwater in your house somewhere and bring the live stuff to the stock tank. The stock tank will have powerheads and heaters. Now you can slow down the breakdown of the tank, sump and stand. Don't worry about lights over the stock tank, assuming the stuff will only be in there for 3-4 days, at most.

Its literally 5-10 minute drive for me

I dont have anyone to help me... owner is going to help me bag up and load everything... the rest is all on me... getting stressed now

You can Do It Man ! redfish gives great advice. It's not a long drive at all. Just make sure You stop & look at everything 1st. Like, is the bottom glass drilled, bulk heads sticking out the bottom? If so You will have to remove them or set the tank on 2by 4's or such, so the bulkheads aren't resting on the truck bed . Would be best not to break the seals. if so you "may " need new gaskets. Stuff like that. How long do you have to plan this?
