Hi guys,
I could use a little help here I'm a little bit frustrated.. As some of you already know I'm a new reefer with the tank that's about 3 months old fish are doing great and all corals doing great up until last week when I noticed one wasn't opening correctly..
I have about a dozen frag's one on the larger side.. Then I noticed a nudi bug on my glass which I picked out of there and I figured I had more and there in lies my problem!!
I did not know it was recommended to dip your corals before you put them in your tank.. Needless to say there was tons to learn as a beginner and that's something I had overlooked.
Now I recently purchased a dip I forget the name offhand I think it's revive? Not iodine it has a lemon he sent and it's a coral bath.. I dipped all my corals last week and I was shocked when I saw out what had fallen off of them!
This morning I noticed other corals not opening that were open just a few days ago and I decided to dip again and found plenty of Nudibranch as well as other ones that I am not sure what they are possibly flatworms and a bristle worm came out as well a baby!
On further inspection I noticed two of the frag's had clusters of green eggs!!! Freaking out just a little thinking that my tank will now be filled with these little buggers!!
So I let everything soak for about 20 minutes scraped off the eggs and placed everything back in the tank..
I have small little pieces of Zoas that are actually glued to a big rock.. Do I need to treat those as well even though they look okay?
My main question is can I treat the entire tank safely?
And what can I use?
I was going to get A product call "flatworm exit" is that good for the other type of insects as well?
I am pretty frustrated because everything was running smoothly and perfectly and it's probably my own fault for not dipping the coral first and I don't want to treat the water if it's going to compromise my fish in anyway!!
Can someone please advise me what to do. I did a 25% water change last night and did the dip and discovered the eggs this morning,,
