So while Aqua SD was taking a break from their live sale, so did I. I went to clean some algae off my frags and one of them was a zoanthid frag with some bubble algae. While i was removing the algae, a stream of liquid shot up at me. I reflexively closed my eyes and didn't get a good glimps of where it came from, algae or coral and now i am left guessing if i just avoided harmless algae spores or a much more harmful palytoxin. I din't feel any liquid hit me on my forearms and washed my hands several times immediately afterwards. My real question is, can bubble algae shoot a stream of spores like that. I have known them to just burst and this is way I am kind of worried. It was a very small amount and in theory did not turn into a vapor, unless it will evaporate later from wherever it landed? Can anyone help me. You can definitely say I am paranoid.

Thank you very much in advance,

Bubble algae can shoot streams like that, but you still need to play it safe with zoas
