For some reason I woke up this morning to a bad looking rock anemone. I have one other that looks perfectly normal. Everthing is fine in tank. Please help!!

The pictures are what he looks like now, what he used to look like and a FTS

Can you provide us with some aditional info? how long has it been in the tank, How old is the tank, what are your water parameters, what lighting do you have it under?

I am probably wrong... but the one you show in the first picture only looks a bit closed up. Any more pictures? Also, “bruises” or spots of discoloration or what have you are usually due to simple irritation or contact; has it shrunk? Disintegrated? My first guess would be a bully, secondly mad at water params. Good luck!

Anemones can be odd balls. I would observe for another day and gauge it from there unless you suspect something like a contaminant (which I doubt based on others looking happy).

Could it have caught a amphipod and was eating by chance?
