Please help sailfin tang

Hi everyone I have a sailfin tang that has a large white patch on its side and his fins are starting to fray this just started this morning when I got up he didn't have anything last night from what I've seen it could be hlle but not sure and need help

That's a bacterial infection that needs prompt attention. Treating with NFG powder would be my first choice. Furan2 + metro + kanaplex = The Trifecta and it treats a wide range of infections.
 
Bacterial infections should be treated either in a bath or in a QT. They generally are not contagious. It's important to know that bacterial infections are a secondary actor. Something else caused this to happen. Could be an injury from a parasite, a wound, or a scrape. Here's more treatment options for you to consider.

 
I recently added a clown tang into the tank and they have been fighting a little over the first few days no biting each other just shaking fins but I'm sure this could have caused a scrape
