Please help seems like they dying

Hey question can you help. So I’m not sure what’s been going on with my holding tank. My lps used to be nice and happy always open and flowing and lately it’s been closed. My OGs used to be big and open and now they look like raisins I’m not sure what I can do at this point. It’s a 20g long with Acuaclear 110 filter and a GKM 9w uv sterilizer with 6 fish and a couple snails and a cleaner shrimp

how long has the tank been set up? How long were they happy before they became unhappy? Have you changed ANYTHING recently?

The tank has been running with cycle media from my LFS since August. They were happy for maybe a couple weeks , started to get Dino’s or cyano and waterchanges seemed to make it worse. The most recent thing I did was I changed my filter to be HOB refugium. And since then everything Has gone down hill. I have taken out the refugium after that. And been trying to keep my levels decent. 2 days ago my p04 was .99 (Hanna ) I added chemipure elite and has brought it down yesterday to 0.20

I have 1 Sicce nano wave maker and 1 Nero 3 opposite ends of the tank. Also have 3D printed overflow box for surface skimming as well as output of filter

your using Hanna ULR Phosphate ?
asking because “ usually” even .99 doesn’t exactly tick off LPS …or rather if they are unhappy I’m suspecting low phosphate first

not to sound funny or too obvious, but I'd recommend switching the filtration back to exactly the way it was when everything was happy...

Yeah so Tuesday night the Hanna phosphate ULR gave me a 0.99 readingi then added the chemipure elite and yesterday night the tester read 0.20

that's one of our common self-inflicted wounds as reefers, we try to fix things that don't really need to be fixed and end up making things worse - been there, done that

I see that now lol now ima have to buy another HOB filter to return everything how it was.hopefully that helps
